Yay new toy…!
Just came back from COMEX… Damn bloody tired, but ’twas a fruitful day. :)
The spoils:
- Canon EOS 400D with EF-S 18-55mm/3.5 MkII kit lens
- EF 50mm f/1.8 MkII prime lens
- 2 x 2GB CF cards
- a Canon carry-around bag
- an 80GB external HDD
- an EF Lens Work III coffee-table book
- 20 DVD+Rs
Total damage:more than I’d care to face up to.
I actually had this in mind as I did my product research in the weeks leading up to today; however a last-minute sway by forces unknown had me going to the fair with the Nikon D40x in mind. The Nikon had arguably the better deal too, with a thousand and one freebies thrown in to sweeten the deal… But somehow the uncertainty all went away after I spent 40 minutes at the Canon booth - and there you have it - my very first DSLR.

btw you might want to throw in a dehumidifier cabinet thingy along with the stuff. you wouldnt want any thing to grow on your expensive lenses, in this kinda humidity..
and… another btw, i like what you’ve done to your pics. they’re nice!
sigh. i’ve got to worry about a tripod first. THEN maybe a dry *box*. NOT a cabinet.
Think a moderately well sealed container with a packet of desiccant would suit your needs better.
